Iran has material to make two atomic bombs: CIA

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Iran already has enough fissile material to make two atomic bombs and could develop nuclear weapons in two years if it wanted to do so, U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Director Leon Panetta said.

Panetta praised new sanctions against Iran by the United Nations, U.S. Congress and the European Union in an appearance on ABC's "This Week" show Sunday, but expressed doubts the penalties would be sufficient to pressure Iran to end its nuclear program. "Those sanctions will have some impact ... It could help weaken the regime," Panetta said. "Will it deter them from their ambitions with regards to nuclear capability? Probably not," he said
